May 2016 After more than a year of fund raising for, and at, The Churchill Hospital we have been advised that we can no longer hold Cake Sales in the foyer. We do not have the resources to challenge this Health and Safety mandate. Naturally we are disappointed.

But all is not lost. Click on the notice, right, for an illustration of what can be done in spite of this set back.

September 2015 A team of medics and a former patient have completed a 1,000 mile cycle ride down the length of Britain in just ten days to raise money for various good causes including OOSO and the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery programme. Click the picture to read the article.

June 2015 OOSO took part in the Oesophageal Symposium. A video about the event was produced including part of Jackie's opening address. It captured the weekend and told a great story around oesophageal research. Click on the picture to view it.

June 2014 OOSO was featured on the local Oxford BBC evening news alongside Dr Martin Chriestlieb from the University of Oxford, Department of Oncology, promoting his Board Game on the Evolution of Cancer. Click on the image to view the two minute video.

June 2012 OOSO's annual luncheon is a relaxed and easy-going affair. In 2012 it took place at the 19th Hole, on a hill top overlooking the skyline of the spires of Oxford.

March 2012 OOSO donated the funds that enabled Dr Alex Wilson to launch his pioneering Power Breathe equipment that is an integral part of the Churchill Hospital’s Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) programme.
