Flower Power at the Churchill

25 May 2018

OOSO Trustees Matt and Anne, with supporters David, Steve and Tom nurtured literally hundreds of seedlings and small cuttings over the winter months, culminating in a grand plant sale at the Churchill hospital on Friday 25th May.

Located by the main entrance they had the most prominent pitch, kindly agreed to by the OUH Promotional Spaces coordinator James Schwarz.

The many and various colourful plants almost literally walked off the stall, raising £560 in support of OOSO.

Matt said "It wasn’t all about the plant sale. We had a fabulous day meeting and thanking hospital staff, chatting with patients, supporting them and their families. We are also very pleased with the amount we raised for OOSO to help sustain the valuable work Jackie does for patients and their families, day in and day out."

Jackie said "I would sincerely like to thank in particular Anne, Steve, David, Tom and Matt for all their super plants, and all those that supported us on the day. It is truly appreciated. I would also like to thank Wyevale garden centre for donating a number of colourful plants in bloom."

We intend to hold another sale next year and hope you all can come along to enjoy the event in support of OOSO.
