Let's Do Lunch

I'm pleased to say we had a very enjoyable cafe-catch-up at the Haddenham Garden Centre this week, with 19 of us taking up a sizeable slice of the cafeteria.   With two tables booked and dedicated service we didn't have to wait long - and whilst the food was good the company was excellent. 

We had a full range of folk, with 1-2 currently having treatment through to 14 year-plus survivors, with partners and friends too, it was definitely a nice opportunity to share our stories and feel positive about the good things in our lives. 

We aim to hold these monthly catch-ups all around the patch, from Swindon to Milton Keynes, Reading to Banbury, with Oxford somewhere in the middle.  

Our next catch-up will be at Dobbies Garden Centre, just off the A419 on the eastern side of Swindon, on Tuesday 6th December at 12:30, for a light lunch or just a coffee. I hope you can make it - drop me a line if you'd like to join us.

2023 Motivations Reminder

Pete Adams, photographer and supporter of OOSO has again very kindly produced a lovely 2023 calendar titled 'motivations', with a share of the proceeds to be donated to OOSO.

At a very reasonable price of £11 per calendar plus post and packaging (approx £1 - £2), if you're interested please drop Pete a line on adamsmk@btinternet.com and he'll send you your 2023 motivations.

Ready Steady Zoom

It's not long to go now - our zoom session is just around the corner - next Tuesday 15th November at 7pm. 

With a slight change of plan we're very pleased to have both Anne-Margrethe Phillips (Senior UGI Specialist Nurse) and Liz Ward (Specialist UGI Dietitian) talking about their roles - what they do and why they, our angel saviours, do it!  
Invites for the meeting have already been circulated to our regular zoom attendees; so if you're on the zoom list and haven't received an invite take a look in your Spam folder, or drop me a line here and I'll resend it. And if you'd like to join our zoom sessions for the first time, send me a quick email and we'll include you on the list for next week and all future meetings.
