OOSO Family Fun Walk

Saturday, 9 April 2016
Barnaby Elwes organised a Family Fun Walk to raise funds for OOSO. He skillfully co-opted members of his family to assist with publicising the event and to provide refreshments on the day.

The walk started at 10:00am from Hollies car park (Airman's Grave). It was a circular walk estimated to take two hours.

What a success it was. Around eighty people arrived to contribute to the fun and the the charity.

The day before the walk Barney travelled the route to hang ribbons at strategic points to ensure nobody meandered off course.

The pictures below show that the weather was not entirely kind. However, this did not deter the walkers neither did it dampen their generosity. The total raised exceeded four figures.

Barney arranged the walk in memory of his grandmother Christina Rapinet who sadly passed away at the end of 2015.

Barney, well done. Tina would be proud.
