In addition to this web site OOSO uses two other computer systems to help provide communication with our members and for analysis when required.

The system we use to distribute our occasional newsletters and messages is MailChimp. This is a commercial service that caters for "unsubscribes" and incorrect email addresses.

We also use a contact management system developed in house and only available on our local area network. It employs a secure log on, enables us to "anonymise" records, and allows us to quickly respond when a "data subject" (Citzen of the European Union) requests a copy of the data that we hold about them.

The European Union's GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires that we obtain specific permission to store and process data about "data subjects".

Note that we typically hold records for patients. However, relatives and friends as well as other people (e.g. medical staff) are also welcome to join us.

We have therefore designed a form that enables you to submit your details and to confirm that we may process the different pieces of data that you supply.
